How to Style Your Living Room

MAN have I been a productive bee today!

Working 30+ hours a week, one class that’s twice a week, & 15 hours a week for an internship sure makes you get very organized and strategic with the time you do have.

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that I love anything & everything that has to do with home decor. I think I’m great at decorating, some may disagree and that’s totally okay. My taste and style might not be for everyone, but if you want to see how I’ve decorated my living room, keep scrolling!

Here’s the thing, I am very picky/OCD about how I choose what decorations to buy. I’ll be in Tj Maxx or Home Goods for HOURS trying to decide what mirror or faux flower vase I should choose. I know, that sounds ridiculous but what can you do? I’m kind of a perfectionist when it comes to certain things.

Anyways! I love a color scheme. I think that makes a room flow very well. My color scheme is gray/silver, black, white, & hints of aqua. I like a splash of color, some don’t and some love a lot of color. When it comes to decorating, decorate how you want to and what you like. I also love the colors blush pink or a light pink with gray & white!

Contrast is always SO good too. Having a mixture of feminine touches with masculine touches can really pull the decorations together.

Another great thing to have is a theme. For example, a modern home, country chic, glamorous, relaxed, minimalistic, and so on. I would categorize my living room as a relaxed living space with touches of glam! You might not have a theme or think a theme is necessary. I like a theme because I like knowing that everything matches.
