But It Burns So Good

Hi, hello.

I’m in desperate need of a coffee. Well, I don’t actually need a coffee. I just really want one. But I’m trying this thing where I don’t drink coffee everyday because, 1. I need to preserve the whiteness of my teeth & 2. I feel like it could be contributing to my acne. Am I crazy for thinking it could be a cause of my acne? Probably. When you’ve been dealing with something that kills your self-esteem, you’re willing to try AND consider anything.

Speaking of acne, that shit is awful (btw). If you read this post, then you know I’ve been trying out products to try to improve whatever the F is going on with my face.

I’m here today to tell you that I found an exfoliant that is so fabulous. No, my skin hasn’t cleared up completely but I feel like it’s improving. A step in the right direction is all I ask for.

So, do you want to know what this exfoliant is called?

It’s the ExfoliKate – Intensive Exfoliating Treatment by Kate Somerville!

It IS spendy, I admit, but I’d rather invest in my skin than spend that money going out drinking our going out to eat, you know? There is a cheaper option, though! You can get the mini bottle from Sephora for only $24, which is actually worth it. I got the mini bottle in December and it’s still full.

You use this exfoliant twice a week for two minutes each time. It’s intense but it isn’t too hard on your skin. I love it because it burns, like it’s burning my acne right off. After one use, you feel like you’ve successfully removed all the dead skin. & you feel like it’s really done the whole job all around. Sometimes I use the exfoliant multiple times a week, but I’m crazy and extreme.

According to Kate Somerville’s website – “the key ingredient is Lactic Acid. Lactic Acid is a natural AHA that “chemically” exfoliates skin. Silica is a natural exfoliant that “physically” exfoliates skin. Papaya, Pineapple, and Pumpkin Enzymes help enhance skin exfoliation. Salicylic Acid helps improve the appearance of pores. Aloe Vera and Honey helps soothe and condition skin. Vitamins A, C and E provide antioxidant benefits. The benefits include: dramatically smooths skin with both physical and chemical exfoliation, improves the appearance of skin texture and pores, & improves the appearance of crow’s feet, fine line and wrinkles.”

Convinced yet? (You should be, HA!)

What exfoliants have you tried that you love? Let me know below, I need all the help I can get!

xx, Aubrianna

Dermabrasion by Darphin!! It’s definitely spendy but it uses crushed pearls as the exfoliant. So awesome.
