Technically summer isn’t here but the weather sure is!
I thrive during the summer months. I love the hot weather, I love being able to go outside to do summer activities, sit outside on restaurant patios & enjoy myself to the fullest, going to drive-in movies (haven’t done this in years but that’s changing this summer!), making weekly stops at ice cream shops, going to the local farmer’s markets, being able to walk anywhere if I want to, being able to watch the trees get greener, & celebrating my birthday!
If we’re getting specific, June is my favorite month of the year, & it just happens to be during my favorite season. Wanna know one of my favorite numbers? 19, because 19 is my birthdate! But that’s for a different blog post.
Today, I’m going to share my summer bucket list. I like to be as eventful as possible during the summer months since they come & go so fast. & it’s definielty one of the shorter seasons, unfortunately.
» I like to do “summer cleaning” – like I REALLY clean, organize, & get rid of things. It’s refreshing & very therapeutic for me. It sets the tone for the season for me because I feel like I’m starting fresh «
» Celebrate my 23rd birthday! Not sure what I’ll be doing. I might just actually hit up a big water park because that was my FAVORITE thing to do during the summer when I was younger. Nothing like acting like a child on your 23rd birthday, lol «
» Go on my family vacation! These are the best because I get to spend quality time with my mom & pups. Last year was one for the books because it was the first year I started taking my dogs on runs. & they just happened to run out the door at the same time, which meant I was dragged on the ground by two 100+ pound German Shepherds. Don’t worry, I wasn’t hurt during the process, but it was extremely funny «
» Volunteer at my local animal shelter, because we know how much I love animals «
» Go to new hiking locations! If you’re ever near Denver & want to go hiking, check out Evergreen, CO, Eldorado Canyon, & Golden, CO! This summer I wanna see what other spots I can find. Colorado is too beautiful to not go exploring «
» Go to an outdoor concert. This one I already completed! Zach & I went to Marshmello last Sunday, & it was a blast «
» Get myself a full time job, you know try to be an adult «
» Go to the Renaissance Festival ♣ this is a tradition Zach & I have. It’s so fun to see the setup, the costumes, & try the drinks & food!
» Celebrate July 4th! «
» Go to an amusement park! Again, sticking with “acting like a child” theme «
» Go to a drive-in movie «
» Take a road trip to Telluride, CO! This is a long shot, but I figured I should at least try to manifest it «
PLEASE tell me below what some of your summer plans are! Like I said, I love to be eventful during this season, so any other ideas you have, share!
Happy sweet summertime, friends.
xx, Aubrianna
Love this honey!! Still wish I would have seen the actual alligator roll down the sidewalk with the boys…looking forward to vacation with you!
Thank you, mom 🙂 lol, you were too busy showering!
